Swim Course
1. The swim is 750m (1/2 mile) in the open ocean of Hulopo’e Bay.
2. SWIM CAPS ARE MANDATORY. Please bring your own cap. Swim caps will NOT be available for purchase on Lanai on race morning. If you do not have a swim cap, you will not be allowed to participate in the race.
3. There will be rescuers/life guard on duty - WAVE HANDS OVER HEAD OR YELL FOR ASSISTANCE.
4. Start will be on the south end of the beach. Buoys will mark the course.
5. Dangers include shallow areas with reef, general marine life, and possible high surf.
6. Swim course closes one hour after actual individuals and teams swim event start times.
7. Failure to complete the swim is cause for disqualification.
8. Inform the nearest race official if you are unable to complete the swim.

Bike Course
1. Bike course is 25km (16-miles) over varied off-road terrain. There are some steep areas. Use caution at all times, especially when overtaking other riders.
2. MOUNTAIN BIKES ARE REQUIRED. No crossover bikes or street bikes will be allowed.
3. BE PREPARED WITH HEAVY DUTY OFF ROAD TIRES.
4. The bicycle must be in good condition, which is each rider’s responsibility.
5. Use caution at all times, especially when overtaking other riders.
6. RIGID, SAFETY-CERTIFIED BICYCLE HELMETS REQUIRED.
7. A BICYCLE CHUTE WILL BE IN THE TRANSITION AREA. PLEASE SLOW DOWN AT THE TRANSITION AREA.
8. No riding of bikes in the transition area.
9. All bicycle repair, undressing & dressing must be accomplished by the racer.
10. Bikers are responsible for their own hydration. Bring adequate liquid, it will be HOT!
11. If a problem develops on the course, there will be security and volunteers to assist.
12. The bike course closes 3.5 hours after race start time.
13. Actual Bike course may differ from suggested course.
14. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE BUT RACERS ALLOWED IN THE BIKE TRANSITION AREA.
15. Failure to complete the bike segment is cause for disqualification.
16. Inform the nearest race official if you are unable to complete the bike segment, so you are not a missing person.
17. The bike course may cross the run course in some areas. In those cases, volunteers will be directing you. Please use caution and follow volunteers’ instructions.

Run Course
1. Run course is 6Km (4-miles) over varied mostly on-road terrain.
2. Racers must change into running gear by themselves.
3. Use caution at all times.
4. The run course will close 4.5 hours after race start time.
5. STAY AHEAD OF YOUR WATER NEEDS.
6. Failure to complete the entire run course is cause for disqualification.
7. Inform officials if you do not complete the run course, so you are not a missing person.
8. Run numbers must be worn (facing front) on the run and when crossing the finish line.
9. The run course may cross the bike course in some areas. In those cases, volunteers will be directing you. Please use caution and follow volunteers' instructions.
